How to get there
Bahia Palace is at Rue Riad Zitoun el Jdid in the medina, near Place des Ferblantiers. Taxis are the easiest option for many visitors — ask for “Palais Bahia.” Bus stops at Bab Mellah and Place des Ferblantiers are a short walk away. Parking Koutoubia is about ten minutes on foot.
How long to spend
Most visitors need 1 to 2 hours. Photographers and architecture lovers may want longer. The palace is self-guided, so you can move at your own pace.
Practical tips
- Visit early morning or late afternoon for softer light and fewer crowds.
- Peak season runs March–May and September–November; book ahead when possible.
- Dress modestly out of respect for local customs.
- Keep small cash ready if buying tickets on site.
- Combine with El Badi Palace, the Jewish Quarter, or a medina food walk the same day.
Before you go
Check your ticket details, carry water in warmer months, and allow extra time to navigate the medina streets around the entrance. A little preparation turns Bahia Palace into one of the highlights of any Marrakech itinerary.
